Quality Control Team Lead

Essential Job Functions

• Fulfills all regular production duties and completes required paperwork in a timely manner
• Oversees a team of employees and prioritizes work
• Primary responsibilities include training and instructing inspectors how to properly inspect parts
• Organizes and trains employees to complete products within established guidelines and time frames
• Ensures management needs are met and maintained
• Communicates customer, regulatory and organizational requirements to assure product quality, contract compliance and customer satisfaction
• Aids in managing implemented quality systems
• Identifies non-conformances through specified inspection methods
• Absorbs measurement metrics to keep track of efficiency and quality

Additional Responsibilities

• Meet company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis
• Perform all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures
• Adhere to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments

Physical Activities

• Work may be active, could stand or sit for long durations and/or perform repetitious work at times
• The employee may lift or move objects up to 20 pounds
• Employees must grasp, manipulate, or assemble parts and components that are often very small
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, may be noisy at times

Requirements

• Education: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a production environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Basic computer knowledge such as but not limited to Microsoft products and Axapta
• Experience with Quality in an R&D / New Product Development Environment
• Strong ability to work well in a group atmosphere and comply with high quality standards
• Strong attention to detail
