About the role

We are seeking a Quality Control Specialist II to join our team. This position is available on multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established procedures and conduct visual and measurement inspections using complex measuring equipment (Zeiss or Mitutoyo Coordinate Measuring Machines, Smartscope or RAM).
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, comparators, master gauge blocks, indicators, surface gauges, surface plates, sine bars, etc.) to accept or reject parts based on technical specifications.
  • Read and decipher complex technical drawings and incorporate tight tolerances into part inspection processes.
  • Input and analyze statistical data using SPC software, document data obtained during inspections, and examine statistical data to ensure quality and product reliability.
  • Operate inspection equipment, troubleshoot issues affecting product quality, and report problems to leadership as needed.
  • Train other employees on inspection procedures and ensure consistency in quality control methods.
  • Conduct training classes on inspection tools, processes, GD&T, and technical drawings.
  • Perform internal audits according to company and customer quality control standards.
  • Assist or perform additional duties as requested by team leaders or supervisors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of relevant product inspection experience.
  • Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and intermediate math skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Qualified status on the use of multiple precision inspection equipment tools in assigned areas (micrometers, calipers, microscope, federal gauge, Styre, Talyrond 73, FPI, video scopes, and lighting equipment).

$21.50 - $25.00 per hour, actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and education.
