Quality Control/Specialist II
About the role
We are seeking a Quality Control/Specialist II to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to ensure they meet technical specifications.
Responsibilities
- Follow established procedures and conduct visual and measurement inspections using complex measuring equipment (Zeiss, Mitutoyo Coordinate Measuring Machines, Smartscope, RAM)
- Utilize precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, comparators, master gauge blocks, indicators, surface gauges, surface plates, sine bars, etc.) to accept or reject parts based on quality standards
- Read and interpret complex technical drawings and incorporate tight tolerances into part inspection processes
- Analyze statistical data using SPC software, document findings, and examine data to maintain quality and product reliability
- Operate and troubleshoot inspection equipment, report issues to leadership, and train other employees on quality control procedures
- Conduct internal audits and assist in other areas as needed
- Perform detailed tasks using basic language and math skills
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2-4 years of applicable product inspection experience
- Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Intermediate math skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Qualified status on the use of multiple precision inspection equipment tools

- Exhibits strong interpersonal and organizational skills with great attention to detail
- Possesses excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrates proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and possesses intermediate math skills
- Exhibits strong problem solving, judgement and decision-making skills
- Works effectively with a diverse group of people from different cultures and backgrounds
- Proficient at Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Qualified status on the use of multiple precision inspection equipment tools in assigned area under limited supervisor, such as micrometers, calipers, microscope, federal gauge, Styre, Talyrond 73, FPI, video scopes, and lighting equipment

Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and education.
Pay
USD 20.57 - USD 24.50 per hour
