About the role

Our Federal Team at Garver is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to oversee the Total Quality Management Program, ensuring that architecture and engineering deliverables meet specified standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and coordinate multi-discipline Quality Control Reviews
  • Participate in the review of civil-related portions of Project Plans, Project Specifications, and Design Reports
  • Aid in the review of civil-related construction submittals
  • Attend design progress meetings for select projects
  • Ensure appropriate quality control procedures are followed
  • Maintain appropriate documentation in accordance with project contract requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 20+ years of site/civil project experience
  • Detail-oriented and a team player with strong self-initiative to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Skills

  • USACE and other DoD-type projects
  • Construction observation and/or submittal reviews for site/civil-related projects
  • Registered Professional Engineer
