Quality Control Scientist

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Conduct analytical testing using applicable laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
  • Document, review, and analyze laboratory test results accurately and in accordance with GDP requirements.
  • Follow SOPs, laboratory procedures, and applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Support investigations related to analytical or quality issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Control laboratory.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as required.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation within applicable systems.
  • Support quality control activities while managing multiple priorities and assigned work.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams while also working independently as required.
  • Follow required laboratory safety procedures and properly use PPE.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific field.
  • Experience in a Quality Control laboratory environment, preferably within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, GLP, and quality management systems.
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques including HPLC, ICP-MS, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and dissolution testing.
  • Experience with microbiological testing and aseptic techniques.
  • Knowledge of SOPs, GDP requirements, pharmacopeia standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Strong computer skills, including LIMS, Microsoft Office, and analytical software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule as required.
  • Able to perform laboratory work and properly use required PPE.
