Quality Control Manager – Heavy Civil Engineering

About the role

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for the implementation and management of the Contractor's and/or Client's Quality Control Program, including the coordination, performance, and execution of construction inspection and testing services. The QC Manager assures that the quality of the work meets or exceeds the project's contractual requirements and maintains the standard of excellence established by the firm.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Control practices and procedures
• Ensure all work complies with contractual requirements, specifications, and drawings
• Verify materials incorporated into the project meet approved submittals and specifications
• Execute required testing procedures in accordance with contract documents and industry standards
• Prepare professional correspondence for clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders
• Monitor, document, and track QC documentation, including daily reports, testing and inspection reports, and preparatory/initial meetings
• Review special inspections and material testing performed by third parties

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field highly desired
• 5+ years of heavy civil construction experience in a Quality Control capacity
• Experience with dam and lock electrical work is required
• Previous USACE experience is a plus
• USACE CQCM certification or ability to obtain certification
• OSHA 30 preferred

Pay

Pay Range: $120,000 – $160,000 (DOE)
