Quality Control Manager/Director

Job Summary

The Quality Control Manager/Director will inspect raw materials, in-process production items, and final products to ensure compliance with technical standards. They will oversee the quality program, including maintaining ISO 9000 compliance and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Review technical specifications on RFQ's to confirm sourcing capabilities and equipment needs.
• Evaluate and review QAP's to ensure meeting customer requirements.
• Confirm availability of necessary testing equipment and establish testing procedures.
• Conduct testing throughout production and/or before shipping to ensure materials meet technical specifications.
• Interface with customers and sub-contractors regarding technical specifications, quality issues, and corrective action reports.
• Work with employees to implement quality standards into daily work procedures.

Requirements

• Associate Degree and/or 5 years of relevant experience.
• Certification of quality control is a strong advantage; ISO 9000 experience is preferred.
• Understanding of military standards and manufacturing experience are preferred, but not necessary.
• A strong background in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Comfortable in training and teaching others about maintaining quality standards.
• Good communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• A good to excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Pay

$75,000 - $100,000/year
