Quality Control Manager

About the role

Yancey Bros. Co., established in 1914, serves as the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer for Georgia, focusing on high-quality sales, parts, and service for various Caterpillar equipment including heavy and compact construction equipment and on-highway trucks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, facilitate, and implement Quality Management System (QMS) for Yancey Engineered Solutions (YES)
• Maintain ISO 9001-2015 accreditation
• Process and file phase inspection procedures on custom fabricated fuel tanks and generator enclosures
• Track and record Quality Management metrics - Customer satisfaction surveys, Non-Conformance, Corrective Actions, Safety
• Track and record continuous improvement cards
• Set budgets and manage any warranty calls
• Travel to meetings, customer sites, and vendors

Qualifications

• Prior experience with quality control management, ISO 9001
• Strong accountability and initiative
• Advanced problem-solving skills, drive, and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree and/or 5 years of experience in a Quality Role within Manufacturing or related experience within the industry

Skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015
• Basic computer skills including Internet Explorer, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Comprehend, speak, and write the English language
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and over the telephone
• Skill in basic computer applications with required operating programs
• Valid Class C Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to company standards
