QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER

The Quality Control Manager oversees all quality assurance and control activities within the plant, ensuring products meet company standards and customer specifications. This role supervises internal inspectors and external agencies, manages testing and documentation, and drives continuous improvement in product quality and production processes. Responsibilities

• Supervise plant inspectors, testing technicians, and third-party inspection agencies
• Conduct and oversee raw material testing and concrete mix design development
• Perform pre- and post-pour inspections of forms and finished products
• Ensure compliance with Precast and PCI quality standards and manuals
• Maintain accurate records of all testing, inspections, and quality data
• Monitor quality metrics, analyze trends, and report issues to management
• Coordinate with production teams to improve product quality and efficiency
• Oversee batch plant quality processes, including moisture probes and reporting
• Verify product finishes, dimensions, and strength requirements prior to shipment
• Communicate with Engineering to resolve drawing or specification issues
• Maintain lab equipment, including calibration and preventative maintenance
• Develop and deliver training programs for quality control personnel

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in concrete construction, inspection, or related field
• PCI Level II certification preferred
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification
