About the role
UTEX Industries is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality assurance efforts within our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet established quality, reliability, and performance standards while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.
- Oversee quality assurance activities, including inspections, testing, and audits of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and standards.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Serve as the primary contact for customer quality concerns and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain quality documentation and prepare reports for senior management.
- Collaborate with suppliers and conduct supplier quality audits.
- Train and mentor employees on quality standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Professional certification (CQE, CQM, Six Sigma Black Belt) preferred.
Qualifications
- Comfortable working in both office and industrial environments.
- Regular site inspections (walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs.).
- Use of PPE including steel-toe footwear.

Schedule
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
