Quality Control Manager

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Quality Control Manager to join our national Mission Critical sector team. The role involves leading the planning, development, and implementation of Ryan’s quality program for data centers and managing daily QC responsibilities to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, development, and implementation of Ryan’s quality program for data centers.
• Manage and perform daily QC responsibilities for specific projects, ensuring construction aligns with contract documents.
• Lead and train project team members on quality‑related activities.
• Oversee and review documentation and physical inspection phases, collaborating with Project Managers, Superintendents, and external personnel.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications.
• Participate in preparatory meetings to establish standards of care for each scope of work.
• Conduct pre‑installation meetings with subcontractors, project team members, and stakeholders to discuss quality issues.
• Ensure all parties understand quality management requirements, including inspection frequency, testing, and documentation.
• Verify and document that received materials conform to approved submittals and are stored and installed appropriately.
• Assign and perform quality management tasks, monitoring, tracking, logging, and auditing all QC activities, testing, inspections, and supporting documentation.
• Support the project team in implementing corrective actions for non‑conformances and quality issues.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Facilitate weekly QC meetings with the superintendent and client, providing written minutes and reports.
• Conduct periodic quality walkthroughs with the client, design team, or other quality representatives.
• Provide weekly QC reports that highlight conformance and address non‑conformances.
• Assist the project team with punch list and phase turnover activities.
• Stop work when necessary to resolve safety, quality, or progress concerns.
• Capture and share lessons learned with the project team, trade partners, and other Ryan Mission Critical teams.

Requirements

• Technical degree in construction, civil engineering, architecture, engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design, construction, and/or commissioning for large, complex MEP‑heavy projects.
• Experience leading construction documentation and contract administration.
• Eligibility to work in the United States (verification required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of one or more quality systems (e.g., Malcolm Baldridge, ISO 9000, Lean, Kaizen, Army Corps of Engineers).
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Revit.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $120,000–$150,000 per year. Base rate may vary within this range based on location and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. The position may also be eligible for additional compensation such as commission and/or an incentive program.
