Responsibilities
- Work with the Divisional Leadership Team to generate, evaluate, and analyze operational plans and processes to achieve corporate goals and objectives.
- Provide overall leadership and management of all quality-related issues for the Mechanical Division.
- Develop, implement, and manage consistent operational practices with the Divisional Leadership Team.
- Evaluate and assess the cost effectiveness and profitability of projects; determine estimate accuracy and provide feedback to leadership.
- Coordinate with Preconstruction to prepare estimates, bids, and market strategies.
- Collaborate with the Pre-Construction team on constructability approaches, including equipment, manpower, and staging for specific projects.
- Provide feedback to Engineering and Pre-construction on actual construction practices versus estimated methods.
- Conduct and/or review cost analysis for material, labor, and overhead costs captured in estimates.
- Develop and manage Project Specific Quality Control Plans with Project Managers.
- Perform quality control inspections as needed.
- Develop policies and practices to ensure all work and materials meet or exceed contract specifications and the contractor’s standard of excellence.
- Work with field supervision and subcontractors to enforce and maintain quality control standards.
- Monitor and review data to detect and assess problems; make recommendations to resolve issues.
- Analyze economic trends and consider risks and cost implications.
- Provide strategic and operational reports as required.
- Deliver weekly quality control reports to reinforce activities conforming to project-specific standards.
- Lead and document quality control meetings with the project team.
- Collaborate with Company Safety representatives to promote a safety culture and improve overall Safety performance.
- Attend project turnover meetings as necessary.
- Interface and communicate with customers to ensure high satisfaction.
- Represent the company to customers for designated projects and vertical markets.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, or a combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
