Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the start-up and implementation of the 4-Step Quality Control Process.
- Interface directly with Owner’s Quality Assurance (QA) and management on quality related issues.
- Work with project teams to review and maintain the project Quality Process Log (QPL) and the Quality Issues Tracking Report.
- Review potential deficiency reports, track discrepancies, and verify the issues have been fully corrected prior to closure.
- Direct the removal and replacement of non-conforming work and stop work not in compliance with the contract.
- Affiliate with project teams to develop the Preparatory Meeting agendas, participate in the Preparatory Meetings, and perform Initial, Follow-up, and Final Inspections, as needed.
- Review Subcontractors’ Quality Control Daily Logs.
- Be aware of the contract, plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Receive subcontractor test and inspection requests and produce a coordinated Daily Test and Inspection Schedule.
- Participate in the selection process for outside testing contractors and verify adherence to testing standards, frequency, and documentation.
- Perform field inspections to verify contractor’s work comply with the project specifications and applicable codes.
- Document and submit a Daily Report on Quality Control activity.
- Perform material inspections to verify that the products are to specifications and that storage, staging and material handling methods are implemented.
- Review Request for Information (RFIs) to ensure changes are implemented in the field.
- Audit subcontractor quality control procedures and reports.
- Coordinate third-party testing agency activities with HCL and the subcontractors.
- Coordinate and schedule offsite equipment Source Inspections, as needed.
- Create, revise and update QA/QC related tools, process, and procedures.
- Create project specific Quality Issues Tracking Report.
- Create and maintain a Department Budget.
- Create KPI’s and Initiatives related to strategic business planning and track throughout the year.
- Teach QA/QC Training to new-hire Operations personnel.
- Be a resource and mentor to project teams and team members.
- Personnel evaluation and development.
Job Qualifications
- A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture or construction management, or similar experience in a related position commensurate with US Army Corps of Engineer requirements.
- Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
- Valid Driver’s License. Willing to travel/drive to various project locations throughout the state.
- Strong communication skills.
- Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, BIM 360, Bluebeam, Primavera, and AutoCAD.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $100,000 - 130,000 per year. Your salary will be based on education, skills, and experience. Haselden does not discriminate based upon any protected category with respect to the payment of wages.
