About the role

The Quality Control Manager position at Stampede Ventures, Inc. is located in Groton, CT. This role is essential for ensuring all materials, workmanship, and repairs comply with contracts, plans, and specifications, as well as building codes. The manager will review and approve submittals, prepare reports, and oversee daily inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with contract, plans, and specifications.
  • Review and approve all submittals and perform daily inspections.
  • Prepare and submit reports, both daily and monthly.
  • Maintain oversight of project progress.
  • Manage project submittal registers.
  • Coordinate third-party testing and meetings.
  • Assure adherence to safety requirements.
  • Interpret and review plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Facilitate and coordinate meetings and progress updates.
  • Provide onsite project oversight and leadership.
  • Document and monitor changes in construction procedures.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years on federal government construction projects.
  • Experience with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to obtain GSA and military base passes and operate vehicles on military installations.
  • Knowledge of federal construction requirements and ability to manage them.
  • OSHA 30 certification (if needed).
  • Construction Quality Control for Contractors certification (if needed).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and self-motivation.
  • Ability to handle stress and work in high-pressure environments.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with PC software packages related to construction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and organize information.
  • Able to assess site exposures and construction risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • BSNC gives hiring, promotion, training, and retention preference to shareholders, shareholder descendants, and shareholder spouses who meet the minimum qualifications.
