Quality Control Manager (3349)

Job Summary The primary responsibility of the Quality Control Manager is to develop, implement, and manage quality control process and systems to ensure the quality of parts, supplies, materials, and finished goods. The Quality Control Manager should also serve as a working team member and individual contributor to the overall team’s success. Typical Duties And Responsibilities Investigate and resolve customer issues and complaints relating to qualitySupervise quality inspection and testing activities to ensure accuracy, high productivity and high technical integrity of product throughout the production cycleGenerate spreadsheets for data collection and analysisReview statistical data and product specifications to establish quality standardsFormulate, document, and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality objectivesPartner with the General Manger to coordinate objectives which maximize product quality/reliability and minimize costsCreate, document, and implement inspection criteria and proceduresApply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processesMaintain an active role on internal continuous improvement teamsInteract with engineering and purchasing departments as necessary regarding vendor quality issuesAdhere to applicable company and regulatory agency environmental, health and safety standardsEnsure that The Mersino Way is a guiding document in all daily activities Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experienceSkills in workflow analysis and management2-3 years supervisory or management experience2-3 years experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment or related fieldPlanning and organizational skills in handling multiple projectsProficient in MS Office including Word and ExcelExcellent written and verbal communication skills Specific Expectations Ensure a high level of internal and external customer serviceAbility to work effectively with othersAbility to multi-task in a changing environmentAbility to work a flexible schedule to meet job requirementsAbility to work under pressure to meet deadlinesStrong time management and organizational skillsRequires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
