Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor
About the role
Sensient Technologies is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to lead a skilled laboratory team and influence product quality. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supporting production, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve laboratory performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the quality control laboratory, prioritizing testing to support production and product release.
- Supervise, coach, and develop laboratory technicians while ensuring training, equipment readiness, and compliance with quality and food safety standards.
- Review test results, investigate quality concerns, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, improve laboratory performance, and support operational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or another science-related field with 5+ years of laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading technical teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with knowledge of regulated laboratory and manufacturing practices.
