Job Title: Quality Control Technician Job Description This role focuses on performing laboratory testing on raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards in an industrial products environment. The Quality Control Technician supports production leadership by providing accurate test data, investigating abnormal results, and maintaining detailed documentation while working safely across various shifts. Responsibilities Prepare and perform a variety of tests on samples of raw materials and finished products to verify quality and compliance with specifications.Identify abnormal or out-of-specification test results and conduct root cause analysis to determine potential issues in materials or processes.Document and record all laboratory test results accurately and promptly, maintaining clear and organized records.Collaborate closely with local operations and production leadership teams to communicate findings and support quality-related decisions.Follow all safety regulations, procedures, and guidelines while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace.Operate laboratory equipment and tools in accordance with established procedures and report any equipment issues or malfunctions.Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall quality control and production activities. Essential Skills Hands-on work willingness and strong mechanical inclination.High school diploma or GED.Industry experience within chemicals and/or manufacturing strongly preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency and comfort with computers for data entry and documentation.Ability to lift up to 55 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance.Ability to stand for extended periods of time during the shift.Flexibility to work overtime and different shift hours as required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in quality control, laboratory work, chemistry, or related QC functions is beneficial.Experience working in a chemical or industrial manufacturing environment is an advantage.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for accurate documentation.Ability to work collaboratively with production and operations teams. Work Environment The position is based in an industrial products work environment that involves laboratory testing and close interaction with production operations. The role offers multiple shifts, including 1st shift (6:00 am – 2:30 pm), 2nd shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm), and 3rd shift (10:30 pm – 6:00 am). The work requires standing for extended periods, lifting materials, and handling laboratory equipment. Team members follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace while working with chemical or manufacturing-related products. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garland, TX. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $22.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
