Responsibilities

  • Prepare and perform a variety of tests on samples of raw materials and finished products to verify quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Identify abnormal or out-of-specification test results and conduct root cause analysis to determine potential issues in materials or processes.
  • Document and record all laboratory test results accurately and promptly, maintaining clear and organized records.
  • Collaborate closely with local operations and production leadership teams to communicate findings and support quality-related decisions.
  • Follow all safety regulations, procedures, and guidelines while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
  • Operate laboratory equipment and tools in accordance with established procedures and report any equipment issues or malfunctions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall quality control and production activities.

Essential Skills

  • Hands-on work willingness and strong mechanical inclination.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Industry experience within chemicals and/or manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency and comfort with computers for data entry and documentation.
  • Able to lift up to 55 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time during the shift.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and different shift hours as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in quality control, laboratory work, chemistry, or related QC functions is beneficial.
  • Experience working in a chemical or industrial manufacturing environment is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for accurate documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with production and operations teams.

Work Environment

  • The position is based in an industrial products work environment that involves laboratory testing and close interaction with production operations.
  • The role offers multiple shifts, including 1st shift (6:00 am – 2:30 pm), 2nd shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm), and 3rd shift (10:30 pm – 6:00 am).
  • The work requires standing for extended periods, lifting materials, and handling laboratory equipment.
  • Team members follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace while working with chemical or manufacturing-related products.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garland, TX.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $22.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
