About the role

The Quality Control (QC) Laboratory Analyst supports all Halocarbon activities related to analysis in the QC lab, including Specialty Chemical and Pharmaceutical production processes. This position operates on a four on, four off 12-hour rotating shift. The QC Analyst prioritizes tasks based on supervision and team strategy, demonstrating excellent safety awareness and contributing positively to the team. The role ensures Halocarbon meets cGMP, QMS, regulatory, and customer quality agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to plant safety requirements and policies while promoting a positive safety culture.
  • Embrace and demonstrate Halocarbon’s Core Values: Caring, Curiosity, Collaboration, and Competitive Spirit.
  • Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Halocarbon QMS requirements.
  • Operate and troubleshoot analytical laboratory equipment (e.g., Gas Chromatograph).
  • Record data accurately in logbooks and data sheets per Halocarbon and cGMP procedures.
  • Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on lab equipment and instruments.
  • Prioritize and perform material and data analysis.
  • Set up laboratory apparatus and maintain organization of work areas.
  • Execute the laboratory reagents and solutions program.
  • Report all accidents and incidents.
  • Maintain the laboratory inventory system.
  • Apply regulations and industry guidelines in cGMP and specialty chemical quality management systems.
  • Follow QC documentation requirements per management system and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science (e.g., biology or chemistry) is preferred; High School Diploma with relevant work experience will be considered.
  • cGMP and/or quality system knowledge is desired.
  • General math aptitude is required.

Safety/Essential Functions

  • Capable of lifting containers weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to evacuate the plant and report to assigned muster points during emergencies or drills.
  • Able to work in environments with chemical odors at permissible exposure limits.
  • Able to climb and descend stairs and ladders.
  • Must use all assigned personal protective equipment and tools safely.
  • Able to safely handle hazardous chemicals on a regular basis.

Schedule

Four on, four off 12-hour rotating shift.
