Quality Control Inspector (Weekend Shift)

Position Summary

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring products meet customer expectations, supporting managers and engineers, addressing customer and supplier issues, and maintaining quality assurance standards.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Review completed Route Cards for completeness and compliance.
  • Communicate internally and with customers to resolve issues like count discrepancies and defects.
  • Perform contract reviews by comparing customer requirements to internal documentation.
  • Review certifications after order completion before releasing to customers.
  • Affix to specification, procedural, and route card changes as necessary.
  • Perform incoming gauge checks of customer gauges daily if required, and maintain calibration for external gauges.
  • Follow all applicable company and/or customer-supplied procedures and policies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Verify all route cards are accurate and complete from release to final inspection.
  • Ensure all customer-specific recordings and reports are complete and accurate.
  • Thoroughly inspect parts before releasing to packaging.
  • Support internal and external supplier quality audits.
  • Delegates any rework needed at final inspection.
  • Drives zero-defect initiatives using various quality, lean, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Read and interpret customer drawings and instructions.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100, Nadcap, and Quality Management Systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years of working in a Quality Department, preferably with quality control & assurance training and responsibility, but similar experience will be considered.
  • Aerospace Quality experience is preferred.
  • Metal Surface Finishing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, including procedure manuals, work instructions, and customer drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to write legibly in English and communicate effectively with coworkers and superiors in English.
  • Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Passes required eye exam.
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
  • Problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
  • Drive for continuous learning.
