Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Executing Quality Control processes associated with purchased product, manufacturing operations, and customer quality requirements.
  • Incoming inspection of raw materials and components using LCR meters.
  • Inspection of printed circuit boards / assemblies (PCB / PCBAs), verification of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) components, and cable assemblies.
  • Inspection of mechanical hardware using calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, and CMMs.
  • Generate documentation of inspection activities using electronic information systems, written logs, and labels.
  • Maintenance of monitoring and measuring equipment, maintaining the supplies, integrity, and cleanliness of QC inspection areas.
  • Aid in the development, maintenance, and improvements of inspection methods, inspection plans, and internal quality procedures and processes.
  • Aid in data analysis and reporting of department metrics as required.
  • Aid with the control and disposition of non-conforming material (MRB).
  • Drive scheduling of day-to-day processes; ensure timely and accurate turnaround.
  • Aid with the continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements And Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years relevant work experience or training required.
  • 5+ years related experience without Associate degree required.
  • Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience with microscopic visual inspection.
  • Experience with mechanical measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Experience with ERP and PLM software systems.
  • Proficiency with reading engineering documents, CAD drawings, and detailed work instructions.
  • Strong digital, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a positive and collaborative manner.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in the aerospace or electronics industry.
  • IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 certification.
