Quality Control Inspector I

Full-time position ensuring all products meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of company products to determine conformance with specifications.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Make autonomous decisions to reinspect material.
  • Document inspection and test results, including any defects or non-conformities found, and report them to appropriate personnel.
  • Utilize standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges, and test rigs.
  • Process associated documentation, including process tags, rework tags, and nonconforming material documents.
  • Produce and collect product samples for testing and reporting per scheduled procedures.
  • Promote quality control through comparison of produced products.
  • Participate in quality control audits and assessments.
  • Flexible break and lunch schedules based on NW Line timing and operation.
  • May be required to work overtime including weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English.
  • 1 year of experience in Quality Control.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance.
  • The ability to be cross-trained to perform other jobs as needed.

Schedule

  • Monday through Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm.

Pay

$17.00/hour base rate.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be moderate to extreme.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Requires standing for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or tools; reach with hands and arms; balance; or stoop.
  • Must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds several times daily.
  • May be exposed to weather temperature conditions prevalent at the time.

Occupational Health and Safety

  • Employees are responsible and accountable for compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment, and risk control.
  • Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety.
  • Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, and property damage at the workplace.

Performance Standards

Annual performance appraisal based on established job responsibilities and performance goals.

Applicants will be subject to a drug test and background check prior to hire.
