About the role

The Quality Control Inspector ensures products meet customer expectations, supports company managers and engineers in day-to-day factory floor activities, and assists Quality Assurance in maintaining specifications. Responsibilities include measuring and monitoring key quality characteristics, resolving issues with customers and suppliers, and preparing for internal and external audits.

Responsibilities

  • Review completed Route Cards for completeness and compliance.
  • Communicate internally and with customers to resolve issues such as count discrepancies and defects.
  • Perform contract review by comparing customer requirements to internal documentation.
  • Review certifications after order completion prior to releasing to the customer.
  • Assist in the review of specification, procedural, and route card changes as required.
  • Perform incoming gauge checks of customer gauges daily if required, and maintain calibration for external gauges.
  • Follow all applicable company and/or customer-supplied procedures and policies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Verify all route cards are accurate and complete from release to final inspection.
  • Verify all customer-specific recording and reporting is complete and accurate.
  • Thoroughly inspect parts before releasing to packaging.
  • Perform internal audits and support external supplier quality audits.
  • Delegate any reworks needed at final inspection.
  • Drive zero defect using various quality, lean, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Read and interpret customer drawings and instructions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100, Nadcap, and Quality Management Systems.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Department, preferably with quality control & assurance training.
  • Aerospace Quality experience is a plus.
  • Metal Surface Finishing experience is a strong plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as procedure manuals, work instructions, and customer drawings.
  • Ability to write legible notes and correspondence in English, and communicate effectively with coworkers and superiors.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Must be able to pass a required eye exam.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Drive for continuous learning.

Pay

$22.30 per hour.

Schedule

Weekday shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

This position requires access to technical data and may necessitate export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce or the U.S. Department of State. Hires for this position—except U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents, and protected individuals—will undergo an export licensing review process.
