Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in-process and final inspection of optics using visual, dimensional, and specialized optical measurement equipment.
• Use instruments such as scratch-dig paddle, automated surface quality inspection scopes, micrometers, calipers, coordinate measurement machine & specialized optical measurement tools.
• Perform specialized cleaning of optics using manual methods as well as operation of ultrasonic cleaning equipment to facilitate inspection processes.
• Segregate and control discrepant material.
• Generate, approve, and store quality documents such as inspection reports, certificates of compliance, interferograms and customer specified documentation.
• Clean assigned work area, and perform additional duties as delegated by management including but not limited to specialized processing methods for finished optics.
• Perform other duties as assigned and needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years' experience preferred.
• Basic math skills to include decimals, unit conversions (standard/metric).
• Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
