Nature of Duties/Responsibilities
- Inspect production lines and provide immediate, actionable feedback to operators to prevent or fix defects.
- Log and track all inspection findings, RMA/MRB statuses, and FA data accurately in our tracking software.
- Perform "First Article" inspections to ensure manufacturing processes are running correctly from the start.
- Carefully read and follow blueprints, assembly guides, and technical documents.
- Test incoming components and raw materials to determine approval or rejection status.
- Absorb and assist other quality departments with final inspections and audits as needed.
- Inspect electro-mechanical parts and assemblies to verify conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Support the Material Review Board (MRB) process by documenting and tracking non-conforming materials.
- Absorb and assist Quality Engineers with failure analysis by collecting data and preparing reports to support root cause investigations.
- Perform inspections for Returned Material Authorizations (RMAs) to facilitate accurate processing and disposition.
Education and Experience
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in quality inspection (SMT experience preferred).
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 (Class 2 and Class 3) standards for circuit board assemblies.
- Experience with component identification, polarity verification, and using inspection tools like microscopes and meters.
- Proficiency in standard software (e.g., MS Office) and data entry tools.
- Strong written and verbal skills to document findings and communicate effectively with production and engineering teams.
Pay
Salary Range(annual): $52,000 - $59,280 (25- $28.50 / hour)
