Quality Control Inspector
About the role
Are you passionate about precision and take pride in delivering products that meet the highest quality standards? We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector / Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team in Lima, NY. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring every product meets customer expectations for quality, accuracy, and performance before it leaves the facility.
Responsibilities
As a Quality Control Inspector / Quality Technician, you will:
- Perform in-process and final product inspections to verify quality standards
- Ensure products meet all form, fit, and functional requirements before shipment
- Use precision measuring equipment, including:
- Calipers
- Tape measures
- Go/No-Go gauges
- Read and interpret inspection instructions, specifications, blueprints, and job travelers
- Identify nonconforming materials or products and document findings
- Verify corrective actions by performing re-inspections after repair or rework
- Accurately enter inspection results into the quality system prior to shipment
- Work closely with production and operations teams to resolve quality issues
- Maintain accurate documentation and quality records
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency
Qualifications
The following qualifications are required:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of manufacturing quality inspection or quality control experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- Familiarity with standard inspection methods and quality procedures
Skills & Abilities
The following skills and abilities are required:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments, including calipers and gauges
- Ability to read measurements in both English and Metric systems
- Basic math skills, including decimals, fractions, and units of measure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
Physical Requirements
The following physical requirements apply:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift
- Occasional overhead reaching and lifting
- Ability to perform repetitive inspection tasks with accuracy and consistency

Pay
Competitive pay: $21–$23 per hour
Schedule
Full-time, steady schedule with a split shift: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Overtime opportunities are available.
