About the Role

Inspect, sample, and test incoming components and raw materials per Bocchi, industry, and regulatory requirements. Duties include weighing, measuring, maintaining records, and using gauges and instruments. This position involves acquiring and maintaining competencies for incoming component inspections and raw material/chemical inspection programs, as well as staff training and proactive continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Promote compliance with Bright Innovation Labs policies, procedures, quality standards, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in safety, GMP, and other company training sessions.
  • Inspect, measure, record data, and report on incoming components such as caps, labels, bottles, shippers, and other components required to meet production needs (may occur at New Albany or other company locations).
  • Maintain thorough records of inspection results, releases, rejections, etc.
  • Confirm "HOT" items at the beginning of each day.
  • Support quality goals by collaborating with Production, Compounding, Warehousing, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
  • Work with Shipping and Receiving, Customer Service, and Production departments to document quality failures and carry out dispositions, including returns, disposals, and rework.
  • Maintain required standards, sampling equipment, forms, and supplies for successful incoming inspections.
  • Participate in staff selection and overall evaluation of department performance.
  • Verify materials are correctly identified as Hold, Reject, or Quarantine and issue notices of rejection when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to schedule changes, including shift work and overtime with little notice.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
