Responsibilities

  • Perform qualitative and quantitative testing of samples using analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, UV/Vis, KF, FTIR, and various wet chemistry techniques.
  • Ensure that the analytical data generated is accurate, precise, and compliant with cGMP, FDA, and company requirements.
  • Document testing, observations, deviations, and Out of Specification (OOS) results clearly and completely.
  • Perform peer review of data as needed.
  • Cook up and prepare samples for shipment to external testing laboratories as needed.
  • Demonstrate understanding and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and analytical procedures (compendial and in-house).
  • Collaborate in a team environment to foster a positive organizational culture.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices in the laboratory and other workspaces.
  • Comply with company health and safety policies.
  • Contribute to a continuous improvement environment and work with management to implement agreed-upon changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, or equivalent directly related job experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quality Control (QC) laboratory under a GMP environment.
  • Experience with chromatographic data acquisition software is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with chromatography, spectroscopy, wet chemistry, and dissolution testing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a hands-on collaborative fashion with various disciplines both inside and outside the company.
  • Good laboratory technique and a high degree of accuracy in executing analytical techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
