Quality Control Analyst
Position Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Control Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and verifying that our chattel loan origination and servicing operations comply with applicable state and federal regulations, investor requirements, and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance Reviews: Review and analyze chattel loan origination and servicing documentation and processes to ensure adherence to applicable state and federal regulations, investor requirements, and company policies. Identify discrepancies, document findings, and escalate non-compliance issues as appropriate.
Audit and Inspection: Conduct regular file reviews of loan originations and servicing activities, including underwriting, closing, boarding, payment processing, default management, and other operational areas. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
Data Analysis and Trending: Compile review results and perform periodic trending analysis to identify patterns, root causes, and emerging compliance risks. Prepare summary reports for management that include key metrics, risk assessments, and recommended remediation strategies.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and organized records of quality control reviews and findings. Prepare clear and detailed reports outlining review scope, observations, corrective action requirements, and follow-up status.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Servicing, Compliance, and Management to communicate findings, support corrective action implementation, and strengthen internal controls.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Compliance-related certifications are a plus, but not required.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in home loan/mortgage lending and/or servicing compliance, quality control, quality assurance, risk management, or internal audit, preferably within the manufactured home or chattel lending space.
Knowledge: Working knowledge of state and federal regulations governing home loan/mortgage lending and servicing, as well as investor oversight expectations.
Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Microsoft Forms. Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights. Excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex regulatory and operational concepts to stakeholders across departments.
