About the Role

The Quality Auditor will be responsible for conducting inspections on all surfaced and/or cut and edge lenses to ensure the products meet required standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect product using established criteria.
  • Perform and demonstrate excellent skills in reading of a Lensometer and interpreting results and findings.
  • Record data and report findings upon completion of inspection.
  • Follow all written and verbal directions provided by Quality Lead, Supervisor and Production Leadership.
  • Participate in start and end of shift report out.
  • Separate and label defective product according to established processes and procedures.
  • Provide immediate feedback to production supervisors/leads.
  • Fill out basic data collection sheets for all inspected units.
  • Enter data into database after audit is complete.
  • Work safely and maintain a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Report safety hazards and work-related injuries to supervision immediately.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with others.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
  • This position requires exposure to one or more hazardous substances/chemicals which requires safety training.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 months experience in a production environment.
  • Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions (i.e. operating procedures, safety standards, labels).
  • Ability to read a Lensometer and interpret results and findings.
  • Near vision capability to 20/40 max with/without corrective prescription eyewear.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain concentration for long periods of time.
  • Learning agility, ability to multi-task and adapt to a quickly changing environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with light supervision as well as a team player.
  • Basic Math Skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
  • Data entry / typing skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SAP / AFS platform.
  • Understanding of internal auditing standards.

Pay

Pay Range: $17.68 - $24.09

Schedule

FHR - 1st Mon-Fri (5A - 1P)
