About the role
The Quality Auditor role supports the manufacturing process by ensuring compliance with quality standards and procedures. This role involves performing visual inspections, utilizing gauges and other manufacturing aids, and monitoring quality metrics.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections of servers, racks, and components to ensure compliance with established reliability and workmanship specifications.
- Utilize gauges, templates, microscopes, and other manufacturing aids to verify product specifications.
- Ensure all required process operations are completed on inspected products at Quality stations.
- Monitor and report quality metrics to meet business needs.
- Prepare reject reports by identifying necessary follow-up information and notifying involved parties.
- Assist with the disposition of non-conforming materials and products.
- Notify appropriate personnel of unusual product defects or process yields falling below acceptable levels.
- Conduct process audits and assist manufacturing in interpreting quality and workmanship standards.
Requirements
- Demonstrates advanced functional skills, which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and lead/guide other employees.
- Demonstrates detailed functional knowledge of audit techniques and has input to process improvements.
- Knowledge of all ISO, ESD, and calibration requirements.
- Knowledge of how to conduct an LPA (layers process audits).
- Electronic Assembly: component, schematics, mechanical assembly, surface mount assembly;
- Inspection: bare board, components, cable, harness, microscope, measuring tools;
- Office Skills: Computers and tablets. Office software to include, word-processing, spreadsheets, and presentation packages.
Qualifications
- Ability to speak and understand English.
- Ability to use ladders.
- Ability to push and pull 40 lbs, lift 20 lbs.
Skills
- Advanced functional skills.
- Detailed functional knowledge of audit techniques.
- ISO, ESD, and calibration knowledge.
- LPA (layers process audits) knowledge.
