The Build
- Examine materials and products to check for flaws and deviations from original specifications and blueprints.
- Approve and reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing products for defects.
- Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods such as measuring dimensions and comparing specifications.
- Record and analyze results to decide whether to certify or reject specific products.
- Use data to solve production issues and recommend improvements to production and assembly processes.
- Complete timely and accurate reporting including receiving, quality, inventory, scrap, and other recordkeeping.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures to produce quality product/service including reporting non-conforming materials and scrap.
- Report unusual conditions or questionable items to a supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
- Keep work area clean and orderly; perform daily 5S assignments.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
The Toolbox
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1-year related work experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook.
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous forklift experience.
- Able to work overtime hours (more than 40 hours per week including Saturdays) as required.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent movements include walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements.
- Perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
- Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods.
