Quality Auditor 3rd Shift

Apex Tool Group is seeking a 3rd shift Quality Auditor for our Jonesboro, AR facility. This role ensures materials and products meet required quality standards prior to shipment and collaborates with plant personnel, supervisors, and management throughout the manufacturing, testing, and assembly process.

Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM.

Pay

$1.00 per hour shift premium for 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Examine materials and products to check for flaws and deviations from original specifications and blueprints
• Approve and reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance
• Inspect incoming and outgoing products for defects
• Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods such as measuring dimensions and comparing specifications
• Record and analyze results to decide whether to certify or reject specific products
• Use data to solve production issues and recommend improvements to production and assembly processes
• Complete timely and accurate reporting including receiving, quality, inventory, scrap, and other recordkeeping
• Adhere to company policies and procedures to produce quality product/service, including reporting non-conforming materials and scrap
• Report unusual conditions or questionable items to a supervisor
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
• Keep work area clean and orderly; perform daily 5S assignments
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1-year related work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Previous forklift experience
• Able to work overtime hours (more than 40 hours per week including Saturdays) as required

Physical Requirements

• Frequent movements include walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other active movements
• Perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment
• Work across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods
