About the role

Oversees and is responsible for the conformance to specifications of all aspects of departmental production and the suitability for sale of all items produced during shift.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to perform audits
  • Follow and ensure that coworkers adhere to all applicable safe work policies & procedures
  • Monitor and maintain a safe & clean work area
  • Ensure that corporate policies and procedures are followed
  • Ensure that all orders produced are completed according to the specifications provided
  • Complete all paperwork and data entry as required
  • Manage sorting and reworks
  • Involvement in the complaint process for internal and external customers
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Must be able to troubleshoot problems on assigned production lines
  • Computer literacy: proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Reasonable knowledge of current software
  • Able to understand and follow schedules
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years industry experience preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Skills

  • Able to read and follow instructions (quality, safety, job packets)
  • Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
  • Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate
  • Able to apply concepts of high school math

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may occasionally be required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
