About the Role

  • Perform Dock Audits per the Dock audit schedule
  • Assist the Quality department in floor support and product sampling
  • Assist with testing and inspecting parts and products at various stages of the production process
  • Support GNS production personnel in quality-related issues

Responsibilities

  • Perform Dock Audits per the Dock Audit Schedule
  • Offer floor support and quality assistance to production staff
  • Assist in final inspection of product to be shipped
  • Perform Push Out Test on required products
  • Perform 1st piece and End run sample inspection
  • Monitor and alert to possible quality problems
  • Notify supervisor when part non-conformance arises
  • Identify and quarantine suspect non-conforming parts during manufacturing process
  • Review hold/sort area; provide operator training and instructions
  • Complete and maintain all required administrative and process documentation
  • Assist with maintaining fixtures
  • Maintain safety standards of workplace
  • Keep work area clean and well organized in a 5S manner
  • Wear all personal protective equipment as required
  • May assist in the training of other employees
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949 quality system
  • Able to read and operate various quality measuring instruments: micrometer, scale, calipers, height gauges, and other basic inspection tools
  • Experience in press operation a plus
  • Able to work effectively within a steady-paced team environment
  • Able to manage time properly in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to problem solve and communicate effectively
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and high level of attention to detail

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The position may involve walking and standing for long periods throughout the day. It requires lifting up to 40 pounds, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds, and occasional stooping, bending, or twisting. Attention to detail is critical in a fast-paced environment. Standard 40-hour weeks are typical, but overtime may be necessary based on workload.

Work is performed in an office and shop environment, requiring personal protective or safety equipment. The factory setting is non-air-conditioned with variable temperatures, including high heat and humidity. Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.

Schedule

1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM, with overtime based on business needs.
