About the role
This position is a Quality Assurance Technician supporting the Field Assurance (FA) team. The associate will maintain day-to-day operations in the Field Assurance (Complaint Handling) Lab, ensuring timely completion of complaint returned-sample analysis. Familiarity with laboratory equipment, microscopes, biosafety practices, good laboratory practices (GLP), and clean-room environments is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect lab spaces
- Collect, record, and accurately analyze sample analysis results data
- Conduct sample analysis testing outlined in protocols
- Decontaminate complaint samples received in the lab
- Document complaint samples received for evaluation
- Identify and escalate unexpected sample analysis results to the supervisor and franchise team
- Maintain good documentation practices (GDP) when recording preliminary and sample analysis results
- Maintain good laboratory practices (GLP) consistent with biosafety laboratory practices
- Maintain a clean and safe lab work environment
- Maintain professional working relationships with internal and external customers and support staff
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, and tracking
- Store and dispose of complaint samples in accordance with applicable procedures
- Support continuous improvement of lab processes and test methods
- Understand and follow procedures and regulatory requirements
- Use calibrated laboratory equipment and tools
Requirements
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Detail-oriented
- Proof of Hepatitis B vaccination series, willingness to undergo the series, or signed waiver
- Technical writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Lab safety skills
- Experience with OGP Flash 500 Smartscope
- Oral and written presentation skills
- Experience performing testing per written directions
- Associate degree in technical studies, science, math, or engineering
- Medical industry (GMP) and/or lab experience
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use sight, and use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment
- Frequently required to verbally communicate with other associates
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch
Work Environment
The employee may work in an open cubicle environment and must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced setting.
