About the role
The Quality Technician (Levels 1–3) supports the Quality Assurance Department in executing quality control, documentation, and compliance activities within Trust Automation's AS9100/ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Level 1 assists with nonconformance processing (NCR/MRB), calibration and measurement management, quality record maintenance, and data integrity in the ERP system. Depending on level, the Quality Technician performs progressively more complex quality system support functions, inspection documentation, and process improvement tasks with increasing independence and technical knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed tests on raw materials, components, and finished products using advanced testing equipment.
- Analyze test results to identify trends, deviations, and potential issues.
- Utilize various measurement tools to verify product dimensions, tolerances, and quality attributes.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and tools to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Conduct final inspections on completed products before shipment, ensuring they meet all customer and regulatory requirements.
- Perform first article inspections (FAI) for new products or revised designs.
- Identify, document, and analyze non-conformities.
- Collaborate with teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in MRB meetings to evaluate non-conforming materials.
- Assist in MRB activities and documentation.
- Coordinate cross-functional MRB meetings.
- Maintain MRB records and ensure all decisions are documented.
- Monitor and follow up on MRB actions.
- Accurately document inspection results, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all testing activities for audits.
- Prepare reports detailing quality findings and recommendations for process improvements.
- Comprehend drawing specifications, packing slips, invoices, and other customer-supplied data.
- Review product documentation, ensuring that all inspections and tests meet customer and regulatory requirements, and issue the Certification of Conformance (CoC).
- Assist and perform root cause analysis of quality issues.
- Participate in problem-solving activities and implement adjustments to manufacturing processes.
- Prepare and maintain detailed quality reports and documentation.
- Ensure that all documentation is in compliance with standards.
- Assist in internal audits of processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Develop and deliver training programs for manufacturing staff.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards and procedures.
- Support the implementation of new quality initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
- Ensure that all quality assurance activities comply with industry regulations and customer requirements.
- Stay updated with changes in standards and regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a technical field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance within the semiconductor or aerospace industry, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong technical skills, including experience with measurement tools and quality software.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with AS9100D, ISO 9001 standards, and FAIR process.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with quality management software.
- Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., CQI, CQT) is a plus.
- Certification in J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 is a plus.
- May be asked to drive for company purposes; must possess a valid California Driver's License and clean driving record if agreed upon.
- May participate in identity verification processes to access secure client or government portals.

Pay
$24.90 - $37.00 hourly.
