Quality Assurance Technician (Full-time) - Overnight Shift
About the role
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you’ll help ensure our products meet the highest standards for safety, consistency, and compliance. You’ll work directly on the production floor, reviewing documentation, performing inspections, and supporting teams with quality guidance. Your attention to detail and commitment to doing things right help us deliver the products people love — with confidence and care.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process testing and AQL inspections
- Submit samples for analytical and microbiological testing
- Review batch documentation and production logbooks for accuracy
- Approve pre-startup activities and equipment checks
- Release batch records and work orders
- Conduct daily audits and floor walks to ensure compliance
- Support teams with GMP, SOP, and documentation guidance
- Participate in shift review meetings
- Follow safety rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing or quality assurance preferred
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move throughout your shift
- Comfortable working around powders, chemicals, and food allergens
- Flexible to work overtime based on business needs
Skills
- Proficiency with using computers, tablets, and basic software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience with systems like SAP, Oracle, AS400, PQM, or Captiva preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Understanding of quality systems and manufacturing equipment
- Able to read, write, and understand English
- Team-oriented and dependable
Pay
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $25.00*. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
Schedule
This role operates on the 3rd shift, with a schedule following a 2-week rotating 12-hour, schedule—
- Schedule 1: Week 1: work Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday; Week 2: work Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday; The hours will be 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM (12-hour shift)
- Schedule 2: Week 1: work Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday; Week 2: work Tuesday, Wenesday, Saturday; The hours will be 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM (12-hour shift)
Onboarding Schedule
To ensure a successful start and seamless integration into the team, this role includes a structured 4–5-day onboarding program, typically scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All new employees are expected to complete this onboarding during their first week.
