Job Summary We are seeking a full-time (Monday to Friday) detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician for our Custom Converting and Custom Printed Label division. Responsible for day-to-day quality support activities. This is a critical role to ensure all products meet the specifications and requests required by the customer. This position will also support production, engineering, customer service, packaging, and shipping activities. Key Responsibilities Perform inspections and quality checks of in process and finished products. Adhere to company policies and procedures. Verify products meet customer requirements both dimensionally and visually. Maintain a high level of detecting defects and waste. Assist with audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensures company compliance with Thomco’s Quality Management System. Make sure paperwork and records match throughout the production process and into shipping. Report product defects discovered during in-process and final inspections. Perform in-process audits to ensure operators are adhering to production processes. Validate the measuring and testing of equipment calibration status. Utilize appropriate label maker to create labels, as needed. Log information such as PPAP into an electronic log sheet for management review. Perform fire extinguisher and machine log inspections according to defined schedule. Produce Certificate of Conformance (CoC) representing product acceptance and company approval. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Technical education or Associate’s degree is preferred. At least two years of quality assurance experience in a general industrial company. Automotive or medical industry experience is a plus. Experience working in an ISO 9001 registered environment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions and understand tolerances. Experience and understanding using basic measurement and inspection tools. Analytical and mathematical skills. Must be able to multitask. Must be a team player. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational skills. Computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate will be physically capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing items up to 35 lbs. and have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday with or without reasonable accommodation.
