Quality Assurance Technician

About the role

The Quality Assurance Technician position at Hexcel's Pottsville, PA, USA site involves responsibilities such as obtaining and maintaining source inspection authorizations, supporting customer source inspectors, participating in new product introductions, and performing various types of inspections.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and sustain source inspection authorization for product delivered to customers on source delegation (e.g., SA SSQS, MRAS DSQR, etc.)
• Support on-site customer source inspectors for first article and production products
• Support New Product Introduction Process through completion of FAI inspections and working closely with the Quality Engineer to develop required Inspection Plans
• Perform inspection and certification review for incoming core and PX materials
• Monitor the Calibration program and perform mechanical calibrations, coordinate sub-contractor calibration activity, and monitor inspection tool calibrations

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent, required
• Minimum of six months experience required, preferably in manufacturing
• Must be able to pass the Quality Delegate Visual Examination including a Color-Blind test
• Experience working with mechanical inspection tools
• Reading and Writing Skills including comprehension of Technical Documentation (PO’s, Specifications, Blue Prints, etc.), and experience developing audit reports and writing non-conforming records as required
