About the role

The QA Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of our manufacturing processes and supporting the shift team. They are responsible for reviewing data and documentation in comparison to customer agreements, interfacing with inventory release software, and supporting QC testing. This role also involves performing internal audits, new product development tasks, and managing laboratory and sample storage areas.

Responsibilities

  • Performs tasks with a high level of safety and quality awareness.
  • Ensures manufactured products meet customer requirements through testing, analysis, and sample confirmation.
  • Supports production by analyzing non-conforming materials, in-process production, and returned goods, and communicating results to management.
  • Creates and analyzes data, generating reports such as Certificates of Analysis and Process Yields.
  • Investigates and identifies root causes for non-conformances and deviations.
  • Operates and maintains quality assurance equipment, performs calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
  • Assists in qualification and validation studies.
  • Prepares samples for shipment to customers.
  • Manages laboratory and sample storage areas, ensuring organization, supply inventory, and cleanliness.
  • Reviews incoming receipts against customer requirements.
  • Performs product release according to customer requirements.
  • Performs inspections and assists on special projects.
  • Communicates and shares learnings with the shift team to promote group achievement.
  • Tracks and communicates departmental metrics.
  • Performs other assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • High level of safety and quality consciousness.
  • Preference for working extended shifts (twelve hours).
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and stay focused without direct supervision.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, particularly in plant tactical Quality functions.
  • Post-high school education preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Lean or 5S experience preferred.

  • High level of safety consciousness.
  • High level of quality integrity.
  • Preference for working extended shifts.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, specifically in plant tactical Quality functions.
  • Post-high school education preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of critical thinking in decision making.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral – and professionalism in communications.
  • Lean or 5S experience preferred.

Location

The role can be based at the Reading, Pennsylvania campus or the East Greenville, Pennsylvania facility, with potential to work at other company locations.

Work Environment

The typical work environment includes:
