About the role
Radial Solutions Inc. (RSi) is looking to fill a Quality Assurance Specialist position to support our NASA customer on the Marshall Engineering Technicians and Trades Support contract (METTS). This position is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance by managing quality assurance activities, conducting audits, analyzing documentation, and guiding others using extensive experience.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Conducting audits and reviews
- Analyzing data and documentation
- May lead and direct the work of others
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution or 5 years of directly related experience
- Familiarity with a variety of quality assurance concepts, practices, and procedures
- Must meet eligibility for a Public Trust background investigation for government issued credentials and IT access
- Must be able to pass a security background check per Redstone Arsenal/MSFC requirements
- Must provide two (2) forms of Federal I9 documents (original, no copies/digital, unexpired)
- Must provide a REAL ID compliant identification to gain access to RSA and MSFC (name must match both forms of ID)
Qualifications
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude
- Previous NASA experience
Work environment
- Environmentally controlled, heated and cooled shop area subject to machinery noise
- Occasional outdoor work
Physical requirements
- Ability to lift up to twenty pounds on an occasional basis
- Sit or stand for extended periods of time
- May require walking, bending, climbing stairs, and navigating shop/machine work areas
Schedule
- This position may require occasional overtime and may include second or third shift support for 24/7 onsite or on-call support based on customer needs and contract requirements
Additional information
- All positions supporting the METTS III contract are contingent upon successful completion of NASA medical screenings at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter. The need for these screenings is determined based on the outcomes of the Safety, Health, and Environmental Job Assessment Questionnaire.
