About the role

We are actively hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist focusing on electric overhead and underground quality control. This position will be based out of our office in Commerce City, Colorado. The anticipated start date for this position is July 31, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field audit functions for all divisions and all products in assigned territory.
  • Assist in training functions as directed by Corporate.
  • Investigate instances of non-conformance and facilitate the determination of the root cause.
  • Provide input to management and assist in the evaluation and effectiveness of the quality assurance program.
  • Assist in developing performance objectives and standards.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in business or related field preferred, or High School Diploma with five years of previous utility construction experience required.
  • Experience in underground installation, hard and soft surface restoration, and traffic control is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for input and output of data.
  • Knowledge of computers and Windows-based software, or the ability and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to identify and suggest resolution of problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and resolve all issues satisfactorily.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Treat people with respect and uphold organizational values.

  • A demonstrated willingness to work hard and at times perform physically demanding work in the elements.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a daily and continual basis.
  • Ability to drive on a stop-and-start basis daily and continually.
  • Continuous lifting, placing of materials, standing, walking (particularly on uneven surfaces), turning, stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, crouching, speaking, and hearing.
  • Close vision is required for some functions; distance and peripheral vision are required for safety.

Q3 Contracting is a drug-free environment, and all candidates are subject to drug testing.

Pay

$105,000 - $130,000/year, depending on experience. Competitive compensation paid weekly.
