About the Role
Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance plans. Conducts quality assurance reviews to ensure work plans are executed in accordance with the School District of Philadelphia policies and procedures. Studies processes to determine cause and effect, documents and evaluates data gathered, and makes recommendations to the Director, Payroll.
Responsibilities
- Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to enhance the effectiveness of quality assurance strategies; assists with the development of quality assurance initiatives.
- Verifies allocation and calculation of leave days in accordance with District policies.
- Researches information on current and former School District of Philadelphia employees using the payroll system.
- Prepares and analyzes basic reports and provides the Director, Payroll with periodic reports; interacts with other District personnel and offices in the preparation of reports.
- Provides oversight and review of the process to prepare termination payments; verifies compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Participates in process improvement activities; identifies and documents any inconsistencies in data to resolve issues and ensure data integrity.
- Develops and updates quality assurance documentation in an efficient and timely manner according to departmental standards and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- One year of full-time, paid, professional experience in a large school district, non-profit, governmental agency, or corporation which has included evaluating quality assurance findings for payroll and making recommendations for process improvement.
- OR any equivalent combination of training and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent.

Pay

Schedule
Regular, full-time. Exempt from overtime.
