About The Role

The Quality Assurance Specialist at Hims & Hers plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of our quality management systems. This position supports the Quality team by developing and maintaining data-driven performance metrics that monitor our compounding and fulfillment operations. The specialist is responsible for analyzing key quality indicators such as root cause analyses (RCAs), corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), deviations, supplier quality, product releases, and environmental monitoring. Acting as a bridge between data insights and operational improvements, the QA Specialist helps drive safety, compliance, and efficiency across our processes. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills who can interpret complex datasets, generate actionable insights, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Data Analytics, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, compounding, medical device, or regulated healthcare environments
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and cGMP compliance standards
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with USP, 21 CFR Part 211, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Experience working with ERP and QMS software like NetSuite, MasterControl, TrackWise, or Veeva
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities to convey complex data insights across departments

Responsibilities

  • Develop, track, and report on key quality performance metrics, including CAPA cycle times, audit findings, deviation trends, and complaint resolution rates
  • Aggregate and analyze quality data from multiple systems to identify trends, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with QA leadership and Operations teams to implement corrective and preventive actions based on data insights and root cause analyses
  • Ensure KPI programs align with cGMP, BOF, USP, and other relevant standards to support inspection readiness and compliance
  • Design, maintain, and update dashboards and scorecards visualizing key quality metrics for leadership review and internal audits
  • Work cross-functionally to standardize data collection processes, streamline reporting workflows, and automate metrics tracking where feasible
  • Provide metric summaries and trend data to support internal, external, and regulatory audits
  • Support training initiatives to ensure teams understand quality KPIs, expectations, and continuous improvement targets
