Philosophy and History
Tunnell Consulting was founded in 1962 by a core group of forward-thinking experts who provided consulting services in strategic planning, manufacturing and industrial engineering, and Total Quality Management (TQM).
Over the years, Tunnell has expanded its services to include Six-Sigma capabilities, operational excellence, Lean tools, and proprietary methodologies. In 2000, the company focused exclusively on the life sciences industry, serving clients in pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, vaccines, and medical devices.
In 2005, Tunnell entered the Federal Government segment, working with agencies such as the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), the Department of Defense (DOD), and others.
OUR COMMITMENT TO OUR CLIENTS
We will align our resources on your behalf to solve your most difficult technical and operating issues in order to accelerate your organizational performance and success.
We will leave our clients with sustainable improvement at the end of each engagement.
We will not rest in our endeavors to ensure our clients’ success.
OUR HISTORY
Established by Forward Thinking Visionaries, Tunnell Consulting was founded in 1962 during a time of rapid economic expansion. Initially providing consulting services in strategic planning, manufacturing and industrial engineering, and Total Quality Management (TQM), the company grew to serve a wide range of clients, from transportation to life sciences.
In 1987, Tunnell became an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), making it one of the oldest ESOP companies in the country. Today, Tunnell is a highly respected consulting firm with a strong focus on the life sciences industry.
OUR PEOPLE
Our staff consists of highly credentialed and experienced individuals who bring extensive business, engineering, scientific, and industry expertise. We value diversity and encourage a collaborative and respectful corporate culture.
