About the role
Analyze business and technical requirements, identify program/project needs, develop the testing strategy, plan, approach, scenarios, test cases, and perform or coordinate functional testing and performance testing for core credit union technologies. This position works closely with peers, stakeholders, and end users to ensure quality deliverables have technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing quality strategies for core credit union systems to ensure required performance and functionality of HVCU’s technology and applications.
- Assist in the creation of test plans for testing major platform and application deployments, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Follow best-practice testing processes and perform them in a timely and efficient manner.
- Partner with the IT Assurance team to ensure testing standards are followed and adhered to by all HVCU staff.
- Educate and guide business users on the importance of testing and their practices.
- Partner with HVCU’s project management team to assist in the creation of testing tasks and activities in project plans.
- Provide oversight, guidance, and management to third-party testing providers to achieve assurance goals cost-effectively.
- Increase team capacity through automated solutions to enable speed and agility in meeting business needs.
- Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements.
- Participate in required and recommended training and development, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training, and demonstrate attained knowledge.
- Participate in Credit Union teams, projects, and strategic initiatives as opportunities arise.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

- Support the Credit Union’s initiatives by demonstrating teamwork and professionalism.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer Science or related field is required.
- Minimum 8 years of experience creating and executing the testing of IT strategic initiatives and plans is required.
- Minimum 5 years of technology experience at a financial institution is required.
