Quality Assurance Inspector, F-35 - Level 4
Basic Qualifications
- Candidate must have at least 6-8 years of recent military aircraft maintenance experience.
- Candidate must have a minimum USMC/USN Level 4 MATMEP and/or Level 3000 T/R rating (QAR/CDQAR) or USAF 7-Level skill rating.
- Candidate must have experience with the inspection of Aerospace Ground Equipment AGE/GSE; Hazardous Waste Management programs; Tool & FOD industry standards; equipment calibration procedures.

Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspection functions on maintenance, ALIS and any other entities that support the contract to ensure compliance with applicable government and company processes and procedures, aircraft workbook specifications and engineering drawings/technical data.
- Afford approval or rejection of work accomplished by team members.
- Assist with Environmental, Safety, Health (ESH) requirements as needed.
- Conduct Entrant Authority (EA) actions as required.
- Conduct inspection of aircraft component removal/replacement; scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; Time Compliance Technical Directive (TCTD) execution and aircraft ground handling/servicing.
- Evaluate process compliance, write/review Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) reports, perform root cause analysis and validate quality plans, processes, and responses.
- Identify and understand non-conformities as they relate to Safety-of-Flight and Critical Task List inspections, procedural breakdowns, and program (process) audits.
- Assist with the conduct incident and/or mishap investigation audits and prepare quality documentation/reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, and trends including failed process, recalls, corrective actions, and validations.
- Assist with review and revisions to interim contract operating instructions.

Further Information About This Opportunity

- This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- Must have an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting with the ability to obtain a Final Secret Clearance.
- Candidate Must be willing to obtain and retain a Confined Space Entrant Authority certification.
- Must be able to work any shift as required to support customer needs, including weekends.
- Must be able and willing to travel to support customer needs.
- Must be able to obtain and retain a current respirator qualification.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
- This may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations.
- This position regularly requires to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.
- Confined Space Entry.
- Position may also require extended work hours.
Desired Skills
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (1-2 years 5th Generation (F-35, F-22) Fighter Aircraft experience in Modification, Maintenance and/or Quality Assurance roles).
- Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Working knowledge of Action Requests (AR).
- Familiar with DCMA Instruction 8210.1C associated in aircraft ground operations and maintenance procedures.
- Experience with OPNAV 4790 Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) instructions.
- Experience with Process Control Surveillance Program inspections and associated data base.
- Experience with Quality Management System (QMS) AS9110 internal audit processes.
- Possess effective communication skills for coordinating with Aircraft Managers/Supervisors, Field Service Reps, System Engineers, Maintenance Logistics Support Managers, Customer (DCMA/GCQA), COR/QAE and maintainers regarding quality issues, Instrumentation System Integration, Deficiency Analysis/Reporting, customer complaints, and other issues related to higher quality as they occur.
- Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings/instructions; system schematics/blueprints; and technical policy/maintenance instructions.
- Excellent organizational, administration, and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite 2010).
