About the role

The Quality Control Inspector will manage and lead quality inspection through all phases of the manufacturing process, including final inspection of fully assembled machines. They will partner closely with manufacturing by developing SOPs and quality checks, perform root cause analysis, and strategize to find solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect parts and in-process, final, and fully assembled machines using industry-appropriate methods such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, and examining functionality.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify quality issues and propose and implement solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the inspection area.
  • Lead meetings with internal partners and customers to facilitate problem resolution, drive implementation, and develop training to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain non-conforming material system, including coordination and disposition.
  • Coordinate resolution with other departments and collaborate with engineering and suppliers to determine disposition of non-conforming parts.
  • Calibrate employee-owned gages and oversee outside calibration, including sending out gages for repair, investigating new tools, and initiating purchase requests.
  • Coordinate non-conforming material reviews and handle disposition.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality-related field working in a Manufacturing Environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Continuous Improvement, or a related field.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or other quality certification.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with a variety of hand measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, height gages, and surface plates.
  • Understanding of Quality System requirements (non-conforming material, calibration, identification and traceability, etc.).
  • Blueprint reading abilities, including GD&T.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • CMM knowledge and experience.

Pay

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location, and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.

$67,362 - $84,202 per year. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan, based on company and/or individual performance.
