Responsibilities
- Inspect parts to blueprints/design drawings.
- Cross-train in other areas of the Quality Control Department and fill in when needed.
- Ensure all documentation is accurately and neatly completed, including pictures of loads.
- Use various dimensioning tools (e.g., 25/50 foot tape measure, 6” rules, combination squares, levels).
- Maintain a professional demeanor with personnel in the Quality Department and all other departments at Sabre.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- 1+ years in Quality Control or a related field in a manufacturing environment preferred; electrical background a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to accurately verify parts to print using a tape measure.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently without supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Must perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body (e.g., climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, and handling materials).
- Must work in an outside manufacturing environment for long shifts, including weekends.
- Requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and a safety-minded approach.
- Must work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures and loud noise.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods and observe/receive information from all relevant sources.
