Quality Assurance Engineer, Supplier Quality

Job Purpose Work with suppliers to address quality issues, approve new parts and improve their quality performance for Banjo. Identify and drive key metrics for Supplier performance and develop suppliers as an extension of Banjo. Support all quality activities for production to improve the quality performance. Primary DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage supplier quality performance, reporting and issue affecting overall performanceConduct supplier part approvalsConduct supplier auditsDrive root cause analysis, problem solving and corrective actions for quality issues foundMaintain accurate 8D records to support corrective actions and reportingDetermine disposition of rejected materials, components, and devicesEffectively identify needed data, collect data, and evaluate data to make data driven decisions using statistical methodsImplement CMM measurement programs and train technicians to executeSupport Quality management as needed for effective department functionalityCreate and maintain procedures, work instructions and forms where needed to be compliant to ISO9001 requirementsMaintain quality documents such as control plans, PFMEA, flow diagrams and work instructionsSupport cross training the QA technicians for seamless operationsAssist with ECN implementation as neededWork with all cross functional departments to improve QualityEffectively produce reports or procedures as needed to optimize operationsAssist with new product introduction into production to ensure high quality Secondary Cross train and mentor members on ISO9001 requirementsResponsible for aiding in own self-development by participation in all training made available by the companyParticipate and support Rapid Improvement Events and Kaizen activitiesOther assignments given by management Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experienceA minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience operating in in ISO9001 facilitiesAbility to multitask and delivery expected resultsAbility to read Blue Prints and drawingsExperience with CMM programming and operations or similar CNC experienceProficient computer skills (Excel, Access, ERP systems)Demonstrate responsibility, respect, dependability, patience, and productivity in order to create a positive work environmentInfluential leadership skills to keep the team focused and prioritizedStrong verbal and written communication skills Additional Preferred Qualifications Knowledgeable with applying SPC techniques to make processes more robustKnowledgeable with GD&T Are you ready to join a different kind of company where our people, our culture, and our commitments are centered around providing trusted solutions that improve lives around the world?
